🌟 Paradise Cave – The Ultimate Adventure

Overview

Discovered in 2005 by a local resident, Paradise Cave (Hang Thiên Đường) quickly gained international acclaim. That same year, the first 5 km of the cave was surveyed by the British Cave Research Association, and eventually the full 31 km was explored and officially announced. At 31 km, Paradise Cave surpasses Phong Nha Cave in length, with chambers reaching 100 meters in height and 150 meters in width. Its dazzling stalactites and stalagmites inspired the British explorers to name it “Thiên Đường” – Paradise Cave.

A standard visitor can explore the first 1,000 meters via wooden boardwalks, but this exclusive adventure takes you deep into 7,000 meters of untouched cave for a true caver’s experience. In 2012, a new scorpion species, Vietbocap thienduongensis, was discovered here, highlighting the cave’s remarkable biodiversity.

06:50 | Departure from Dong Hoi

Pick-up from your hotel in Dong Hoi City, including airport and train station, for a 75 km / 80-minute drive to Paradise Cave.

Guests staying in Phong Nha Village will be collected directly from their accommodation. Upon arrival, your guide will provide safety instructions and cave equipment.

Exploring the Cave

• Continue beyond the boardwalk with your personal flashlight, venturing deep into over 6,000 meters of untouched cave

Mid-Tour Break (at 4,000 m)

Kayaking & Cave Labyrinth

• Paddle through shallow streams (crouching required in some areas)

• Navigate narrow paths and steep, rugged terrain, experiencing the cave as a natural labyrinth

• Discover “Heaven Well,” an extraordinary formation reflecting harmony between heaven and earth, with smooth, artisan-like rocks in various shapes and colors

Lunch

• Enjoy a riverside meal beside the underground stream before retracing your route back
